Margaritaville, the Jimmy Buffet-inspired hospitality and way of life brand, may conjure up images of tropical gets away and sun-drenched beaches, but the brand is hitting the ski slopes of California’s famous Lake Tahoe.
Margaritaville Resort Lake Tahoe made its main launching on December 14, after a $70-million restoration of the previous Lake Tahoe Resort Hotel. The residential or commercial property, located in South Lake Tahoe on the Nevada border, includes 399 suites, 5 dining concepts, and a heated indoor pool, all with elements of the brand name’s signature island life visual.
The spacious accommodations– the smallest of which is 599 square feet– feature walls and furniture in neutral tones with bright pops of green, blue-green, navy, and emerald. The suites all have separate bed room and living-room spaces, dining tables, wet bars, and sensational lake or mountain views; some even have fireplaces for cozy après-ski moments.
The heated indoor pool area opens to an outdoor patio with views of the Sierra Nevada Mountains. Fans of the brand will likewise recognize a few favorite Margaritaville design touches with a distinct Lake Tahoe twist, such as the iconic 13-foot flip-flop sculpture in the lobby that, at this location, is painted emerald green to show the color of Lake Tahoe’s waters.
The resort’s several eateries will satisfy visitors’ every cooking choice, consisting of a coffeehouse serving espresso beverages and breakfast to-go. For lunch, travelers can grab a bite at the casual LandShark Bar & Grill, which serves hamburgers, tacos, salads, and sandwiches and provides indoor and outside seating with lake views. Pre-dinner mixed drinks and little bites are a specialty of the License to Chill Bar lobby bar. For a more fine-dining experience, the JWB Prime Steak and Seafood serves worldwide cuisine prepared with in your area sourced ingredients.
” We are looking forward to inviting guests to our mountain paradise and presenting the Margaritaville way of life to South Lake Tahoe and beyond,” Bob Jensch, the resort’s handling director, told Travel + Leisure. “As the brand’s inaugural ski resort, our team anticipates providing an unequaled experience where Margaritaville’s signature island attitude satisfies the enjoyment of an adventure location.”
